Buffalo “Chop” Salad

This recipe comes from a chef who understands nutrition and uses nothing but real food…Check out this raw, enzyme & nutrient rich, fat burning buffalo recipe with Chef Frank Giglio…

This recipe can easily be called a tartar, but to keep this always changing, I thought I would call it a “chop” salad.  I prefer buffalo, free range if possible and of course grass fed.  If buffalo is not

7 Weight Loss Mistakes that Have Nothing to do with Food & Fitness

I work with two types of clients in NYC.

HIgh performance clients that have been eating right and training or playing sports for most of their lives. I fine tune their diet and design training & conditioning programs that help them burn that last stubborn 5 pounds of fat and keep them strong and healthy. I also teach them mind body fitness routines to help them reduce stress. They follow the program and get awesome results.

Then there is the majority of female clients I work with. In fact, the vast majority of people I meet fall into this category as well.

Trans fats, for example. Trans fats have been known to be dangerous for years. They have only recently been getting attention in the media.

I am going to share a few facts about foods & fats that many people think are ‘ok in moderation’ and in fact, many people will defend their right to eat these foods, no matter how dangerous they are.

Free Range Chicken Tarragon Salad with Olive Oil

So, clearly not everyone has the time to roast a chicken…
but places like Bouley Bakery or Dean and Deluca (here in NYC) do a good job at that for you, and the chickens are free range and/or organic!

Place like Whole Foods and Citarella also offer roast chickens that are pretty tasty if not totally ethically farmed and raised.

Anyway, pre-roasted chicken is an incredibly versatile protein that is crazy delicious. Here is one of my favorite ways to get my fill of this yummy bird.

Chicken Tarragon Salad with Olive Oil
Serves 2 to 4.

Not that I get annoyed often…but that I got annoyed after reading a ‘health’ or ‘fitness’ article in the NY Times.

The article, ‘Sweeteners: Real Aid or Excuse to Indulge?‘ points out something that the author feels the world needs to know about. But the article topic has nothing, or very little, to do with the ‘take home messages’ that are detrimental to your health, wellness and fat loss.
